Tales From The Loop Stasis Device: Building a Screen-Accurate Replica

Tales From The Loop has one of the most distinct visual styles in modern sci-fi television, drawing heavily from Simon Stalenhag's retro-futuristic artwork: technology that feels analog, handmade, and slightly magical rather than sleek or digital. The Stasis Device is a perfect example of that design language, and it's one of the more ambitious pieces we've built.

Getting this one right meant going beyond a static display piece. Our version includes working lights, a machined aluminum stand, and bracelets built to match the show's proportions, along with an extra "fuse" piece for anyone who wants the complete set exactly as it appears on screen.

The challenge with a device like this is that "retro-futuristic" isn't a single, easy-to-copy look. It has to feel like it was built decades ago with a strange kind of advanced technology nobody else has, which meant paying close attention to material choices, not just shape. Machined aluminum instead of plastic. Real functioning lights instead of painted-on details. Small choices like that are what separate a replica that feels like a toy from one that feels like it belongs in the world of the show.

This is also one of our more limited builds, given the complexity involved, so if the Stasis Device is on your list, it's worth checking current availability directly.
